The Pupils' first LP delivers ten slices of Punk Rock'n'Roll that would've been at home at Le Gibus back in 1977. Yet it doesn't sound retro, it just kicks ass at 45 rpm ! Think missing link between '76 Saints and Asphalt Jungle if you really need to. Half the songs would've made a great single A-side, the other half sounds like good B-sides: that's what we call a sweet deal ! They prove that real teenagers can rock as good as guys in their 30's (or is it 40's these days') in 2011 !

1 play through the album and I couldn't get it out of my head! The mastery of sound widens the eyes and pauses the heart while the lungs hold to let the mind process what the ears are hearing mountaindan406

So hard to pick a favorite on any of M.A.M.'s albums. Their music transcends the punk blues label in so many ways. And I love how heavy some of their more "mellow" tunes really are. The sum turns out so much larger than the parts. I just freakin' this band.🤘
edit: "Where I Belong" hit me like a sledge, after listening to this album hundreds of times. SO beautiful it hit me harder than most metal I play. LOVE when that happens. Nobody does it better than these two. Steve
